Permit was acquired this afternoon. The boys tagged along with me, which made it an adventure as we also hit the bank, picked up film, had lunch, and filled up the Whimobile not in that order at all.

There is apparently an additional 25 foot "visibility triangle" that needs to be on the corner. This visibility triangle has to comply with the future 15 foot set back that may never happen on the West side. I have technically used the property for lessons at this point. Roxanne has been trading between riding and driving Gypsy and has graduated from our small arena, but we're not quite ready to roam around our not-so-quiet "country" roads so we've driven down to the property and used it ( Read more... )

Because I am taking her to the little schooling show tomorrow I decided to ride Kitt instead of driving yesterday. We were going to work on her canter and maybe pop over a jump or two. We ended up working trot-halt-back-trot to get her coming off the bit and really loading her hind end. A few times she really kicked in her butt, which I wasn't ( Read more... )

Failed today's inspection primarily because the lath wasn't finished (surprise!). They haven't been out to work on it since Saturday. They're about halfway done.
